We are currently raising funds to replace an aging medical response vehicle and
a fire truck. Both are having mechanical problems more often than we'd like.
Donations can be sent to: The Lee Vining Volunteer Fire Department is always accepting new volunteers. Prospective volunteers can come to our weekly Thursday night meetings at 7pm at the Fire Hall (in the center of town). The Lee Vining Fire Protection District extends along Hwy 395 from Oil Plant Road to the Mono Lake County Park area. Fire protection is also provided as resources permit beyond the district. We also provide mutual aid to neighboring communities and agencies. We also respond to medical calls, auto accidents, and rescue situations in the region. We have about 70 calls per year--mostly auto accidents and medical calls. If you have an emergency, please dial 911.
